Summary
As the members of Company 8 battles for their lives with flames and flexing pecs, a mysterious ally swoops in to give them hope. Hot on the trail of the doppelgänger mystery, Princess Hibana returns to St. Raffles Convert, where she discovers something that torches everything she thought she knew about her past. Trivia
- This is the first volume in the series to use a cover character from a pervious volume, as Shinra first appeared on the cover of Volume 1.
- The cover fo Volume 23 features a new style of presentation that future volumes would also follow. These covers integrate bold text into the designs and character art to refer to the events of that particular volume. In this instance: BREAK THE PRISON is a refers to the Fire Force's escape from Fuchū Prison. Furthermore, the Japanese and English logos were adjusted to accommodate this change the format and now use less vertical space.
- The cover presents Shinra with tattoos on his ankles. The significance of this would not become clear until Volume 25.
