The Amaterasu (
Overview[]
The Amaterasu is a large thermal power station. It is the main energy generator, as it provides power all over Tokyo. The Central pillar is surrounded by at least six smoking stacks that are each decorated with Shide at their tops. The main structure has a ring of Torii gates built to wrap around it at the base and also features a symbol of the sun and hanging charms resembling Shimenawa hanging from each protrusion at the top.
History[]
There are two versions of Amaterasu's past. The official history of the Tokyo Empire claims that Raffles found the Adolla, a fire that burned with purity, shortly after the Great Disaster. Using technology available to them, Raffles and his apostles built the Amaterasu and provided power to the entire nation.
According to Vulcan Joseph, his ancestors developed the technology and built the generator, but the project was stolen from them by Haijima Industries. While Vulcan's account is the truth of the matter, much of the generator's history remains unknown.
The Key[]
The Joseph family remained in possession of an object known as the Key to Amaterasu for generations after its construction. The Key takes the appearance of a large, cylindrical USB flash drive with various engravings etched into it. What this item actually does is currently unknown, it was highly sought-after by the White Hoods and the Joseph clan did everything in their power to hide its existence. After a lengthy investigation and revealing the identities of several covert members, the White Hoods were able to steal the Key and deliver it to their master; The Evangelist.
The Tabernacle[]
The Tabernacle is a generator that is almost identical to the Amaterasu located on the Chinese Peninsula created by the Woman in Black. By locking herself inside the core, she was able to use the power of the Adolla Burst within herself to give life to the Oasis. This allowed animals there to live for centuries and for plant life to survive and grow, despite the surrounding area being unstable molten rock. The Lady still lives on within the structure.
Trivia[]
