The Toughest vs. The Maddest (最強 vs. 最狂, Saikyō vs. Saikyō) is the two hundredth and eighty fourth chapter of the Fire Force manga series.

Summary

Kurono recognises his opponent as Benimaru's Doppelgänger and tries to avoid a battle. When the fake Benimaru moves at attack Kurono jumps into the sky to retreat but is pursued. While he is able to block several attacks Kurono's smoke powers are totally nullified and he is throw down into a rooftop. Running through all the Doppelgänger's advantages, Kurono decides a contained battle would be fruitless and tries to surrender or leave peacefully. The Doppelgänger refuses as it is a King of Destruction and attack Kurono from behind when he tries to flee in another smokescreen. As it charges a blast with the intention of killing Kurono and the entirety of Tokyo, Kurono looks behind the Doppelgänger and sees the real Benimaru watching and tells him to do something about this.

Both Benimarus greet each other and decide that the real Shinmon Benimaru will be the victor of this battle.
