The Adolla Grace (伝導者の加護, Dendōsha no Kago) is when a Third Generation's pyrokinetic abilities are enhanced by an Adolla Link with an otherworldly being, such as the Evangelist, making the pyrokinetic a Fourth Generation.
Overview[]
When empowered by a Grace, a pyrokinetic's abilities are vastly enhanced, in some cases allowing them to utilize abilities that defy the very laws of physics. Something that ordinary pyrokinesis would not be capable of. The strength of Grace was demonstrated when Shinra Kusakabe was able to single handedly defeat a Demon Infernal in under a second, whereas it took the combined efforts of multiple Special Fire Force Companies and the utilization of the power of a massive city-destroying wildfire to beat a Demon Infernal without Grace. Grace is only available to someone if they possess an Adolla Burst.[1]
A Grace can only be granted by an otherworldly being from Adolla, such as the Evangelist or the Woman in Black. However, it is also possible to attain Grace by establishing an Adolla Link with a third-party who already has Grace, as demonstrated by Shinra when he achieved Grace by Linking with his little brother while the latter was Linked with the Evangelist. It is hinted to only be accessible if within a certain proximity with the user giving Grace.
The only drawback of Grace is that it is dependent on the user being Linked with the otherworldly being, a connection that the otherworldly being can revoke at any time. Furthermore, the otherworldly being must have the strength necessary to maintain the Grace, otherwise the user will only be able to use their Fourth Generation ability for a very limited amount of time, as little as only one second.
